Position Description: The Communications Assistant will help the pastor and elders communicate the vision of the church, organizing details to help that vision come into reality. This will primarily be accomplished through designing and managing all aspects of the weekly bulletin, Sunday morning projection communications, church website, and social media (web-design knowledge is NOT required, but basic graphic design is). The administrative assistant will be expected to create materials that appeal visually and communicate clearly to the demographics of Oak Hill’s congregation and the Solanco community. They will manage the church’s database, ensuring timely record-keeping of new visitors, contact information for attenders and members, as well as background check data for children’s ministry security. At times, this assistant will also produce other communications necessary to the administration of the church. They will also help with the details of church business functions such as the annual meeting, and occasionally support other ministry coordinators (such as children’s ministry) in the production of materials at the approval of the direct supervisor. This position will answer directly to the Pastor-Teacher.
